The annual ipoweri anti-bullying conferences for young people

In July 2004 Actionwork and ipoweri organised Britains national anti bullying conference for young people. It was due to be another fantastic ipoweri event but then at the last minute (well 2-weeks before the event was to start) our major sponsor, a major 'local' bank, pulled out.

The bank would not give us a reason apart from saying that they wanted to use their money with 2 key schools instead of on a national event.

This left us in financial difficulty. Actionwork underwrote all the debts and rearranged the event for the following year.
